The Oxford Geology Group was founded in 1957 as a club for anyone interested
in Geology. We welcome people of all ages, whatever their knowledge
of the subject.
Our activities consist of lectures and field
outings. The lectures are given by expert geologists once a month
from October to May. The outings are arranged to visit sites both
near to Oxford and farther afield to study rocks at first hand and to collect
fossils and minerals.
Membership costs a mere UKP 5.00 per year.
Existing members please note: For paid up members, there is now a
mailing list that you can join. Information on field trips, sharing lifts and the like will be posted to this list and members can post to it as well.
